Description
- 1. Field of the Invention
- The present invention relates to a shoe, and more particularly to a sole base and a sandal made of the sole base.
- 2. Description of Related Art
- With reference to
FIG. 7 , a conventional sandal comprises asole base 50 and avamp 60. Thevamp 60 is combined along the periphery of thesole base 50 by sticking or sewing to form a wearable contour for a user. - However, once the
vamp 60 is combined with thesole base 50, thevamp 60 cannot be removed from thesole base 50. That means thevamp 60 is not replaceable by another vamp. Accordingly, the conventional sandal is unsuitable for the user who prefers to have a sole base on which different types of vamps can be selectively mounted to form a sandal with variations in type or style. - The main objective of the present invention is to provide a sole base and a sandal made of the sole base to solve the aforementioned problem.
- The sole base comprises a top side, a bottom side, a periphery, multiple holes formed at intervals and through the sole base respectively from the top side to the bottom side of the sole base, and multiple bottom slits concaved in the bottom side of the sole base, wherein each bottom slit communicates with two adjacent ones of the multiple holes and comprises an opening formed through the bottom side of the sole base, wherein each opening of the bottom slits comprises a width.
- The holes and the bottom slits of the sole base allows a connection between the sole base and a rope to form a sandal, such that the sole base can be connected with different ropes to form sandal of different types or styles.
- The sandal made of the sole base comprises the said sole base and a decorative rope. The decorative rope is mounted on the sole base and comprises a middle segment, a decorative portion formed by plaiting the middle segment of the decorative rope, being located above the sole base and comprising a right side, a left side, and a rear side; the decorative rope further comprises multiple connecting portions connected with the decorative portion and extending from the right side and the left side of the decorative portion, each connecting portion mounted in two adjacent ones of the multiple holes and the bottom slit that communicates with said two adjacent holes and comprising a diameter and two ends, wherein the ends of the connecting portion are connected with the decorative portion such that the connecting portion and the decorative portion form a loop, and the decorative rope further comprises a wearing space formed between the decorative portion, the connecting portions, and the sole base.
- The decorative portion of the decorative rope can be plaited into different types according to the personal preferences of the user. Alternatively, the decorative rope can be replaced by another decorative rope having a different type of decorative portion. Accordingly, the sandal made of the sole base is suitable for the users who prefer to have a sandal which has a decorative rope with variations in type or style.
-
FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a preferred embodiment of a sandal made of a sole base in accordance with the present invention; -
FIG. 2 is another perspective view of a preferred embodiment of the sandal inFIG. 1 ; -
FIG. 3 is an enlarged side view in partial section of the sandal along line 3-3 inFIG. 1 ; -
FIG. 4 is an enlarged cross sectional side view of the sandal along line 4-4 inFIG. 2 ; -
FIG. 5 is an enlarged side view in partial section of the sandal along line 5-5 inFIG. 1 ; -
FIG. 6 is an operational perspective view of the sandal inFIG. 1 ; and -
FIG. 7 is a side view of a conventional sandal. - With reference to
FIGS. 1 and 2 , a preferred embodiment of a sole base is shown and a sandal made of the sole base in accordance with the present invention comprises asole base 10 and adecorative rope 20. - With further reference to
FIGS. 3 and 4 , the contour of thesole base 10 matches a sole of a user and comprises a top side, a bottom side, a periphery, multiple holes 11,multiple bottom slits 12, andmultiple side slits 13. Theholes 11 are formed at intervals and through thesole base 10 respectively from the top side to the bottom side of thesole base 10. Eachbottom slit 12 is concaved in the bottom side of thesole base 10 and communicates with two adjacent ones of themultiple holes 11. Eachbottom slit 12 comprises a lateral width and anopening 121, wherein a width of theopening 121 is smaller than the lateral width of thebottom slit 12. - With reference to
FIGS. 1 , 2, and 5, theside slits 13 are formed in the periphery of thesole base 10 and communicate with theholes 11 respectively. A width of any one of theside slits 13 is smaller than a width of thecorresponding hole 11. The shapes of the side slits and thebottom slits 12 may be linear, wavy or lightning-shaped with jagged cuts. - With reference to
FIGS. 1 to 3 , thedecorative rope 20 is compressible, is mounted on thesole base 10 and comprises adecorative portion 21, multiple connectingportions 22, atying portion 23, and a wearingspace 24. Thedecorative portion 21 is formed by plaiting a middle segment of thedecorative rope 20 and is located above thesole base 10. The connectingportions 22 are connected with thedecorative portion 21 and extend from a right side and a left side of thedecorative portion 21. Each connectingportion 22 comprises a diameter and two ends, wherein the ends of each connectingportion 22 are connected with thedecorative portion 21 to form a loop by thedecorative portion 21 and the connectingportion 22. - With reference to
FIGS. 1 , 2, 3, and 5, each connectingportion 22 is mounted in two adjacent ones of themultiple holes 11 and thebottom slit 12 that communicates with the said twoadjacent holes 11, wherein the diameter of the connectingportion 22 is larger than the width of thecorresponding side slit 13 and the width of theopening 121 of thecorresponding bottom slit 12, such that the connectingportion 22 can be kept from escaping from thehole 11 and thebottom slit 12. Thetying portion 23 is connected with thedecorative portion 21, extends from a rear side of thedecorative portion 21 and comprises two ends and atying body 231. The ends of thetying portion 23 are connected with thedecorative portion 21, and thetying body 231 is located in a middle segment of thetying portion 23. A loop is formed by thedecorative portion 21 and thetying portion 23. The wearingspace 24 is formed between thedecorative portion 21, the connectingportions 22, and thesole base 10, and defined within the loop formed by thedecorative portion 21 and thetying portion 23. - With reference to
FIGS. 1 , 3, and 5, thedecorative portion 21 can be plaited into different shapes or styles. Thedecorative rope 20 can be squeezed into theholes 11 through the side slits since thedecorative rope 20 is compressible. Theside slits 13 can keep thedecorative rope 20 from escaping from theholes 11 because the diameters of the connectingportions 22 are larger than the widths of theside slits 13. With reference toFIGS. 2 and 4 , the connectingportions 22 can be squeezed into thebottom slits 12 through theopenings 121. The connectingportion 22 can be kept from escaping from thebottom slits 12 because the diameters of the connectingportions 22 are larger than the width of theopenings 121. - With reference to
FIGS. 2 and 6 , afoot 30 of a user wears the sandal made of thesole base 10 via the wearingspace 24. The side slits 13 and theopenings 121 can keep the connectingportions 22 from escaping from thesole base 10. The connectingportions 22 are mounted in thebottom slits 12 to prevent the connectingportion 22 from detaching from thesole base 10 and from fracture caused by prolonged walking friction. The side slits 13 and theopenings 121 may be wavy or lightning-shaped with jagged cuts, such that the side slits 13 and theopenings 121 can further restrict the connectingportions 22 in theholes 11 and thebottom slits 12. The user can plait thedecorative portion 21 into different shapes or replace thedecorative portion 21 by another one, such that the sandal is suitable for the user who prefers to have a sandal which has adecorative rope 20 with variations in type or style.
