Description

Figure imgf000002_0001
In general, the sandals currently available on the market present some drawbacks mainly concerning the fastening system for the foot once inser-ted in the footwear. In fact, the systems produced so far to hold the foot in the footwear are very impractical in relation to a type of footwear that is typically lightweight and open. These systems are generally the Velcro type, or with buckles, loops or similar and may not be easy to use, making the footwear impractical for the user. '
In addition, because of their design, the fastening means currently known generally involve the connection of the various parts without respecting a certain homogeneity, thus creating irregular compression zones on the foot which cause soreness and discomfort.
DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
This invention proposes to provide sandal-type footwear fitted with quick fastening means that can eliminate or at least reduce the drawbacks described above .
The invention also proposes to provide sandal-type footwear fitted with fastening means that are easy to produce so as to be extremely inexpensive and allow production on a large scale.
This is achieved by means of a fastening system for sandal-type footwear, with the features described in the main claim.
The dependent claims describe advantageous embodiments of the invention.
The main advantages of this solution, in addition to those deriving from its construction simplicity, concern first of all the fact that the footwear fitted with the fastening means according to the invention can on one hand be produced and assembled with very limited production costs, with a possible consequent saving also for the consumer, and on the other they are extremely simple to use, since it is possible to block them in place by just pulling the cord with the fingers.
The means according to the invention therefore substantially consist of a simplified fastening system that foresees the use of strips of fabric, synthetic material, leather or similar, closed in loops on the sole, these strips being joined together and fastened by a cord, which is fixed to the front part of the sandal with the two ends being held by a clasp or gripper fastener or similar.
It can be noted that this solution makes it possible to achieve the main advantage for the end user, making the fastening operation very easy and- holding the foot securely in place while ensuring maximum comfort.
DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS Other features and advantages of the invention will become clear on reading the description below of one embodiment of the invention, given as a non-binding example, with the help of the accompanying drawings in which: - figure 1 represents a schematic view of sandal-type footwear according to the invention, not worn on the foot and seen from the front three-quarters; figure 2 is a schematic view of sandal-type footwear according to the invention seen slightly from above; - figure 3 represents a view of the sandal-type footwear worn on the foot; figure 4 is a view of the sandal worn. on the foot and seen from the side; figure 5 is a schematic view of the sandal-type footwear in the version with the cord attached thong-like between the toes on the upper side of the sole.
DESCRIPTION OF ONE EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION
Referring to the accompanying figures, the footwear according to the invention, indicated overall with the reference number 10, substantially consists of a sole 11 to which strips 12 are attached and folded loop-like in various ways also with rivet fixings or sewn, or fitted with rivets or cord loops, and in some icases fitted with Velcro, buckle or similar adjustment elements 13.
As can be seen in figure 4, the sandal can also comprise a heel strap 14 at the rear consisting of various straps folded to form a loop and connected by a ring-like element 15.
The particularity of the invention lies in the fact that the various looped strips 12 and the heel strap 14, if fitted, are connected together by means of a cord 16- consisting of a double cord starting from, a coupling element 17 and ending in a blocking element 18 which allows the foot to be held securely inside the sandal by means of a simple pulling action.
This blocking element 18 consists of a gripper type component or of other similar elements designed to carry out the same or a similar function.
It can be seen in figures 3 and 4 that the cord 16 is passed through the consecutive loops positioned at the sides of the foot so that the two sections of the cord 16 can join up the loops positioned consecutively on the top of the foot, joining them to the heel strap 14.
It is also foreseen that the two ends of the cord 16 are attached to each other by a cap 19.
To fasten the sandal to the foot, it is sufficient i to insert the foot, wrapping the loops 12 around the top of the foot and inserting the heel in the rear part 14, if fitted, and then pull the end of the cord with one
1 hand while holding the gripper element 18 in the other hand.
The loops will thus come together in ,a perfectly uniform way without forming any irregular compression zones that cause the well-known forms of discomfort for the feet . Figure 5 shows a solution in which the cord 16 is attached to a front coupling point 20 on the sole. t
In this solution the coupling point of the cord is between the toes and can contribute to improve the blocking of the sandal on the foot. It is obvious that the loops can vary in shape, number and size and that the cord coupling element 17, can also be attached to other parts of the sandal and the sole.
The invention is described above with reference to a preferred embodiment. It is nevertheless clear that the invention is susceptible to numerous variations that lie within the sphere of technical equivalents .
