I've had this item for two years now. It has been accidentally dropped probably around 20 times, survived three moves and it is still going strong. One time after it fell I had to open it up and put the cogs back in place - but its still works and that was easy! Out of every single rainbow maker out there, this actually makes little rainbows when the sun hits it. And it always makes me a little happier when it goes on from direct sunlight hitting it! Great investment - I am gonna buy another for other people!

I'm very disappointed in these. I had one work for a couple months and then it stopped working! So I bought another one and it doesn't work at all!!! I'm done with buying these. Super cool when the one worked. My cat enjoyed trying to catch all the rainbows. It was so wonderful and then it stopped.

I’ve been wanting one of these, but kept putting it off because honestly, I wasn’t sure if it really worked. I brought it to work because my office has a very sunny window. Holy cow it makes me smile every day— it’s my little moment of Zen! I love it! Just know that you really do need bright, direct sun to make it spin.

My only son was murdered over 30 years ago by a jealous friend. On the day of his funeral a rainbow actually started in a lake completely across town from where we live. It ended in the water at the very end of our dock. We live on the Mississippi River. A woman living by the lake took a picture of it and sent it to us. We were in no state to even think of taking a picture here…which I regret. My sister gave me a single Rainbow Maker and it is still in our kitchen window going strong!!! They are so durable as it has fallen just a few times. It has been hanging there in the same place for 32 years. Very good quality. Am planning on ordering the double today. Actually 2 of them. 1 for myself and 1 for my sister who lost her soulmate husband.
